“To boldly go where no man has gone before”

With the tag line of Star Trek (best picturized with Patrick Stewart a.k.a. Captain Jean Luc Picard) I start blogging (again).

However in complete contradiction to the above blogging is something many men (and women) have gone before and have done some fabulous things. In fact I have on my own tried my hand at blogging earlier, however I am determined to make it better with this one. Since I preach about Web 3.0 and all the collaboration, I have to embrace Web 2.0 (or do i have to.. thats a longer post sometime in the very near future.. i do measure time in parsecs u know) with blogging being a very important part of it.

I tag Luis Suarez for his inspiring speech in the Academy of Technology Conference in Somers, NY in July 07 and how well he promotes Web 2.0.

Well the chief contents of this blog should be one of the following titles:

  • Virtual Worlds
  • V-Business
  • V-Tailing (Retailing in Virtual Worlds)

Here goes !

    Hey, Pranab! Welcome to the Blogosphere! heh Thanks very much for the kind words and for getting things going over here with your blog and in Twitter! Good stuff!

    I am surely glad to see how you have dived into it all in one go! Now off to have some really good fun! Keep (micro-)blogging! :)

  2. Roo says:

    Welcome!

    Isn’t a parsec a unit of distance, rather than time? :-)

  3. pranabs says:

    @Roo
    retrieving information from all-knowing brain
    (read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parsec), you are correct parsec – distance .. agree..

    however, on a philosophical/metaphorical note, well the question is will this blog go the distance .. it can be a comment on the long distance in time it would take for it to become a minuscule dot in ocean of blogs.

    …and with two stalwarts already commenting on my very first post.. i am honoured and encouraged. Keep commenting .. :)
